I have been putting much time into differentiating the Yezidi from Hinduism, but I don't want people to think I am not willing to help the Yezidi in their fight against Islamic persecution. In order to find the truth about the Yezidi religion I contacted a Yezidi cultural organization in Sweden to interview the Yezidi there, and I was able to interview one Amo Şamsi. Mr. Amo Şamsi agrees with our sentiments that Yazdansim has close ties with Christianity, he said that the Christians are the brothers of the Yezidi and have been working extensively with them in Sweden. He also agreed that it would be best for Yezidis to come to Sweden rather than India where there is already a population of 4,000 Yezidi who live in the cities of Helsingborg Hässleholm and Stockholm. There are also 40,000 Yezidi in Germany and many in the USA and Canada as well where they could be reunited with their families rather than bring them to India under the false disguise that they are Hindu which is being peddled by Templars (here) and ISKONites (here). In my brief interview with cultural chairman Mr. Amo Şamsi, I found that unlike many of the organization run by non-Yezidis or interfaith groups, Yezidiska has a platform for helping the Yezidi which relies on honest principles. Meaning they do try to draw inappropriate parallels between Hinduism and Yazdanism for immediate political expediency.
Mr. Şamsi confirmed that Iraq is the true homeland of the Yezid, not India, and he told me of their ideal which is to set up a nation called Ezdistan in the Kurdish region, a resurrection of the old Yezidi empire. Of course this dream is far off for the Yezidi, who simply need help right now to survive. Mr. Şamsi says he is grateful to anyone and everyone who are willing to help the Yezid, but like us, he wishes to do it on our terms, and not have this crisis be used as a playing chip for other forces, such as Mark Pinkham, his Templars, and ISKONites.
Due to their honesty, integrity and purity of purpose, I endorse Yezidiska in their efforts and encourage other Hindus to support them, rather than more dubious causes which are trying to bend Yezidi-Hindu relations for their own purposes. Mr. Amo Şamsi has agreed to write articles for my blog in order to better define the Yezidis for Hindus to understand.
